Tax Credit Strategies llc was founded in 2011 with a simple goal in mind: to help investors, lenders and developers navigate the complexities of originating, managing and exiting federal, state and local tax credit investments.  

 

Our principal, Kathy Bader, possesses authoritative knowledge and extensive first-hand experience with all forms of tax incentives.  Kathy has directed over 4 billion dollars of strategic equity investments across hundreds of nationwide community development projects that tap various forms of government programs, most notably Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits and Energy Tax Credits.

 

In 1993 Kathy founded and was the CEO and Chairman of U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC), the largest community development corporation in the nation, which utilizes tax credit investments to carry out its community development strategies across the country. In addition, she was co-creator and founder of USBCDC's State Tax Credit Clearinghouse, which purchases and ultimately sells state tax credits nationally.

 

Kathy has served on numerous national educational, governmental and conference panels that address tax credit investing and financing and has received many local and national honors for her leadership in banking, business and community development.  She has been an industry advisor for numerous tax credit-related entities, including:
